A ramshackle rabbit warren of a guesthouse, its enduring popularity is somewhat surprising at first glance. But to have survived for 14 years in this ever-more competitive location, the Pondok must be doing something right. The dorm beds are certainly cheap, albeit a bit depressing. Many of the mattresses too, appear to have seen better days. The double rooms though give you a lot of space for your money. Light sleepers would do well to avoid ones overlooking Changkat Bukit Bintang. It has several communal areas, including a rooftop garden. All rooms have air-con. Rates include a complimentary breakfast.
