Red Palm
International traveller vibe

What we say:
A bit difficult to find, as the Red Palm has no sign on the door, but it's well worth searching out (next door to Anggun Boutique Hotel). The place only has capacity for 14 people all up, including six dorm beds, which are of a decent quality, albeit slightly cramped together. While the rooms are nothing special, the friendly staff, chilled out vibe and pleasant communal areas make this guesthouse deservedly popular. Booking in advance is advisable. Noise could well be an issue for street-facing rooms. All rooms/dorms have air-con. Rates include simple breakfast, hot drinks and WiFi.

bad room
The room I got was up a short ' stairway' closer to a ladder, it had two single mattresses on the floor and two windows at ground level and no other furniture at all. It was 50 Ringitt. Common areas are good, a nice selection of guide books to browse. Breaksfast was help yourself, cereals toast and coffee. Staff were pleasant. One night was enough before moving down the street to the green hut.
