If you'd rather have a great time than a great night's sleep, you'll love the Discovery Cafe and Guesthouse with its crew of friendly staff, eccentric locals and boisterous backpackers. This brightly coloured spot right by the river is party central come sundown with pool, live music, Western grub and the cheapest beer in town. On the other hand, the rooms are small with sagging beds and the bathrooms could be much cleaner. That said, the dorms are a bargain and even air-con over night. Some will love it, some will hate it -- we'll leave the decision up to you. The Discovery's staff can help with onward travel arrangements or rent you a bicycle. Rates include internet and breakfast.
