What we say:

Opened in mid-2012, River Song occupies a beautifully restored building along the Melaka River. The guestrooms contain nothing more than a bed and side table, but for now they are in immaculate condition. All rooms have air-con, but considering most have windows and ceiling fans we wish there was a cheaper option without. The shared showers/toilets are on the second floor beside the balcony overlooking the river. Rates include WiFi and self-serve coffee and tea. The fish pond on the ground level is peaceful but means you can always hear the sound of running water. Bicycle rentals are available for 10 ringgit a day.
