Cherating Bayview Resort
Isolated but has a pool

What we say:
Cherating Bayview Resort is the most isolated of the accommodation options along the main Cherating beach and is a solid 20- to 30-minute walk from the main gaggle of restaurants and shops. The rooms come in two main flavours, newer, pastel blue chalets by the beach and older, more typically ordinary (by Cherating standards) bungalows back behind the swimming pool. Yes there is a pool here -- and it was popular with the kids staying here when we visited, though as there is no shade at all around the pool you'll be shuttling back and forward. Rooms are okay, drab and totally unmemorable and the staff certainly are not the most motivated on the block, but if you don't mind the distance from the action and this fits your budget, a beachside room isn't a bad deal. As the pool view rooms contain one single bed and one double bed, and the seaview rooms have two double beds, this can be a good option for those travelling with children.
