Mega View Hotel
Towering over the river
What we say:
This is the biggest of the riverside hotels -- a largely characterless behemoth squatting right by the riverside. Rooms are okay -- a good size with frumpy decor, fair bathrooms, cable TV and so on. Avoid their studio rooms, which are well overpriced. The one real positive here is if you are on the higher floors, the views over the river are quite impressive. Worth the extra money? Probably not. It gets very busy on weekends when you'll struggle for a room without a reservation, but midweek try for a discount. Not our first choice, but an adequate option. Riverside bar was closed when we were in town -- O'Corner is close by though. Shop online for a discounted rate.
