Set on the northern stretch of Love Lane, past the intersection with Lebuh Muntri, Red Inn Heritage is one of a number of properties under the Red Inn label in Georgetown. It's a big property, running a long way back with a large reception and common fronting onto the street, along with a couple of cafe seatings laneside. There are a dizzying variety of options from large dorms to compact double rooms with private bathrooms. Most rooms have shared facilities but they're kept quite clean. Bear in mind that the front ground floor rooms get a lot of passing traffic and the TV and chit chat may annoy light sleepers. The common area is spacious, with a pool table, big flatscreen TV and a couple of internet terminals. Advertised WiFi is very patchy -- if you need it, test it in the room you want before paying. Staff are friendly and helpful and are able to provide basic tourist information. The private bathroom rooms are not great value, but the dorms are competitively priced. Rates include free breakfast.
