Basic but adequate
What we say: 
This Asian-orientated budget hotel is located on the main road at Kangar's centre. Reception is on the ground floor behind a set of tinted glass doors but the spacious air-con or fan rooms are reached by stairs through a doorway open round the clock. Rooms come either with share or en suite bathrooms. We recommend snaring room number 10, an air-con corner room with a shared bathroom, if you can, which boasts big windows, a charming work desk and a blue ceramic wash basin. Rooms are generally basic and though floors are really clean, don't look behind the cupboards. As the Ban Cheong is right on the street it can get quite noisy during rush hour.
