Alamanda Hotel

Thoroughly mediocre

What we say: 2.5 stars

Just down from the YT Midtown, this is a poorer choice in just about every way, with the freight-like elevator setting the tone throughout. Rooms are dark and cramped, with the cheapest having no windows and equally cramped bathrooms. The only redeeming factor really is the more affordable price, though the property also has free WiFi and friendly staff at the front desk.
