Comfortable flashpacker fare
We skipped this on our first run through due to a sign out front declaring "exclusively for divers", but it turns out non-divers are welcome here and the rooms, especially the fan-cooled ones in the longhouse, are pretty good value.
They're large and very clean, with real bedding, clean bathrooms, properly running water, 24-hour electricity and a pleasant garden setting. The beachfront bungalows are even better, though considerably more expensive so not such great value. Free WiFi is available in the restaurant area though it doesn't stretch to all the rooms -- at least not to "nudibranch", our room (which to be fair is just about the furthest room from the restaurant). The restaurant is beachside under a a large shade cloth and does both western and Asian standard fare. Food is decent and affordable. We did a couple of dives here and were not as impressed with the dive shop as the rooms and would recommend diving elsewhere, but for those looking for a comfortable place to crash near the beach, this is a reasonable option. The resort and restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful.
