Friendly staff, good private rooms
What we say:
If you're looking for a private room for under 100 ringgit, Lavender Lodge is a smart choice. The rooms are budget hotel quality with air-con, wooden furniture, comfy beds and a piece or two of framed art and are made up by the housekeeping staff every day. Though the shared bathrooms are perfectly fine, it's worth spending a few more ringgit for an ensuite. The dorms are spacious and clean, but oddly missing lockers to stash your valuables. The lobby area has a few traveller resources like a library and guest computer, but other than the breakfast table there's nowhere to chill and chat with other travellers – if you're looking for a party atmosphere stay elsewhere. Rates include WiFi, towel, drinking water and a breakfast of toast and fruit. Credit cards accepted with a 3% surcharge.
