What we say:

A good back-up if the Travellers' Lodge is full, Samudera Backpackers has 20 well-kept rooms going for low prices. Ignore the sign posted at the reception as those are public holiday rates. They have the usual options of fan or air-con and shared or attached bathroom. There's a cosy common area with TV and travel information and a cheap laundry service. The staff are personable and laid back, and don't rush through registration and showing you to your room. If you're interested in exploring Melaka's beaches, enquire here about transport to Tanjung Bidara and special rates at their sister property, Samudera Bidara Resort.
