Follow the sign up the stairs to discover a brightly painted common room, spic and span dorms, and an assortment of private rooms with some unexpected touches like balconies, antique furnishings, and even one room with a four poster canopy bed. The shared bathroom facilities are regularly cleaned and there's also a communal kitchen, rooftop terrace, and common room with TV, travel info, books and board games. The owners are Muslim and prefer guests to not consume alcohol on the premises.

* Travelfish researchers visit and review properties on an anonymous basis. By that we mean they show up, in person, and pretend to be either be a potential guest, or somebody looking for a room for a friend or relative. Where possible the researcher will inspect at least a couple of rooms. The rates you see above are what either the desk staff told us they were, or what were in the brochure when they just told us to quit bugging them and look in the brochure. Pleasant place, friendly owner. - 25th February, 2010
Paid 30 RM for double with fan, and weren't disappointed. Pretty clean, welcoming atmosphere with rooftop terrace and TV for the travel-weary, free tea or coffee.
The owner, Steve, is what made this place: very friendly, knowledgeable and went out of his way to help you.
Only problem was our room was directly below the TV lounge, so if other travellers stay up it can be noisy.
