What we say:

It takes a certain type of traveller to appreciate an old-school Chinese hotel like this. While the rooms are adequate, catering to basic needs rather than creature comforts, calling them well-worn would be an understatement, and a musty smell persists. Still, the Southeast Asia Hotel's low prices translate to steady business and they're slowly but surely making some upgrades, like installing new TVs. The location is very central, but with two busy temples and a street market outside the windows this is not a hotel for light sleepers. Rates include taxes and Continental breakfast.
