What we say:

Singapore's got its fair share of luxury accommodation, but the InterContinental sets itself apart by incorporating some local flair. The hotel was built up from Bugis Street shophouses and preserved the fa�ade while updating the interior with luxury linens, big-screen TVs, iPod docks, plus charming Peranakan furniture and art. If you're not the nostalgic type the rooms and suites in the main tower have a more cosmopolitan decor and lower nightly rates. As much as we love the InterContinental's style and service, the small pool and exorbitant cost for WiFi keep us from giving it full marks.
