An unbeatable location and immaculate facilities make a Beary Good Hostel our top Chinatown pick. The hostel building is heritage but the facilities are like new, with Ikea bunk beds and spotless albeit tiny bathrooms. The common area is so comfy and well-stocked (DVDs, netbooks, board games, and even a Wii) that you won't want to leave, but when you do the Chinatown street market and MRT are literally 15 steps away. Rates include breakfast, hot drinks, internet, and a big locker — just bring your own lock. This is one of the few hostels with 24-hour reception and, with advance notice, hostel staff will check you in at 02:00 with a smile on their face. They're rightfully popular and have a second branch nearby.
