What we say:

The lodgings are simple at Fernloft Chinatown but the warm welcome makes up for it. The dorm is dreary with no windows and thin mattresses, but we like the big lockers right beside the beds. Two private rooms have a bit more flair but are overpriced for having to share the sole hostel bathroom. On the positive, the hostel has a great location in the heart of Chinatown and rates include breakfast and internet use. The hostel manager lives on site and ensures the rules are followed to a tee. She has great tips for experiencing Singapore, but not everyone may appreciate such close supervision.
