Axis Hostel
Cheap rooms with an MRT view

What we say:
Super-cheap rates and a location almost overlooking the MRT are the selling points of Axis Hostel. Despite the grim exterior the hostel is pretty new with the usual Ikea furniture and a big TV in the lounge. Dorms contain an odd mix of bunks and a full-size bed (who wants to cuddle in a room full of strangers?), but are super clean and have quality bedding. Private rooms do not have attached bathrooms like their website suggests but are nonetheless a great deal for overpriced Singapore. The one thing that is spotty is the staff — they certainly don't justify the additional 10% service charge. Rates include WiFi and a simple breakfast. They also manage the 98SG hostel nearby.
