Relatively new, the oddly named Tekka Boarding Service is located on the northern outskirts of Little India (at the junction of Serangoon Road and Petain Road, opposite Sri Srinivasa Perumal temple). With some of the cheapest rates around, expect to be surprised by the quality of the rooms. Beds are comfortable, rooms are of adequate size and well lit while all the amenities and more are provided: ironing boards, hair dryers, clothes hangers, and kettles are available in each room, even internet connectivity. The quirk about all the rooms here is how none of them have private toilets, though self-contained, private showers in the corner of each room are available. Shared toilet facilities are clean and ample. A pleasant find with unbeatable prices -- ask for discounts if staying longer than three nights. Recommended.
