What we say:

Away from the main backpacker drag, Mayo Inn is a hidden gem with reasonable rates and a modern, minimalist style. It doesn't seem out of place that they have Japanese-style rooms with mattresses on the ground as an alternative to the usual beds. All rooms have essentials like air-con, TV, mini-fridge, free WiFi, and small but functional bathroom. Mayo Inn is halfway between Little India and Bugis MRT and a 10-minute walk to either, but the biggest negative is the noise from the busy road and ongoing construction for a new subway line.
