What we say:

When we heard about this budget hotel minutes away from Orchard Road we thought it was a myth — but Lloyd's is the real deal. They've got 34 well-worn rooms of slightly different sizes all with air-con, TV and attached bathroom. Sure, the rooms could use some TLC and there's a noticeable musty smell (carpet is never a good idea in the tropics), but prices are a steal for a private room, let alone one so close to an MRT station. Lloyd's sits between luxury condos and, considering property prices in Singapore, we can't imagine it'll be around much longer ...
