Prince of Wales Boat Quay
Bunks & beers

What we say:
Backpacker favourite Prince of Wales has opened a second hostel in the restaurant strip at Boat Quay. It's a simple set up with a big dorm overtop a taco bar, but bunks have thick mattresses and are guaranteed bed-bug proof. Private rooms are the latest addition and a bathroom is shared between the two of them. Rates include internet use (WiFi or guest computers), a small locker, and self-serve breakfast of coffee and toast. The hostel doesn't have the usual guests-only common area, but the restaurant has a pool table and offers big discounts on drinks if you're staying there. Only online bookings are accepted.
