If you're looking for a, romantic, Thai style countryside stay then this is your place. Located five km outside of Ayutthaya, the Chao Phraya River flows on one side of the property while rice fields stretch to the horizon on the other. At the far end of the carpark beyond a small pond and garden area are four small wooden cabins. Each has reasonably sized rooms with comfortable beds, ensuite bathroom with hot shower and air-con, though sadly the interiors are rather drab and have seen better days. The wooden porch outside has a picnic table and bbq pit, although only one overlooks the river. Better value are the rooms in the main building which are newly decorated and offer the same facilities inside. The restaurant, housed in an open sided wooden barn by the river, has an extensive terrace and is a fantastic place to get inexpensive, authentic Thai food. If you've come this far for dinner you might as well spend the night here.
