Sherwood House
Welcoming, comfortable and quiet, if a little chin

What we say:
This cosy guesthouse with only five rooms offers good, clean accommodation and large comfy double beds --even if the decor is a little overdone. All bathrooms are shared, but with one upstairs and two down overcrowding is rarely a problem. An upstairs terrace overlooks a small swimming pool that's free for guests (open to visitors 9:00 to 20:00, costs 45B). As a favourite with independent tour groups it's often full, so book ahead. Inside there's a small restaurant/bar and common area. Staff are very friendly. Well located for access to the ruins, if slightly removed from everything else, but as bicycle 60B and mopeds 200B can be hired this isn't a problem.

Clean and Friendly
I stayed here for 3 days. I found the accommodation very clean and inexpensive. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The guest house is situated near to all the main temples and ruins so with a bicycle you can get around the attractions very easily. You can even walk to some of the sites in 5 minutes. Sherwood also has a swimming pool so it's a great place to relax after stomping around temples all day. Great rooms, great food and nice staff.

Brilliant
We spent a week here and enjoyed it immensely. Steve the owner was a mine of info, the place was very relaxing and the swimming pool exactly what you want to break a day visiting the World Heritage Site.

swimming pool and good location
I got a fan room with 2 twin beds, no mosquito net, shared bathroom, THB280. Hot shower, swimming pool, very refreshing. Location is good for seeing the ruins, walking distance to some of them. One day in Ayutthaya is enough.
