Description
This popular place (formally called PS Guest House) has good basic facilities with a large shady garden area out front. The rooms in the main building are a little run down, but have new mattresses. The three bungalows available in the garden offer quality and good value. At times the staff may seem indifferent, but the lush garden and quiet location more than make up for it. As the full-grown garden hides the guesthouse and bungalows from the road, be sure to look for the large sign outside.

Great Stay! -

Stayed here for 2 nights. The bungalow, seating area, attached bathroom and sheets are clean and there is definitely privacy and a great homely feel about the place! Mr Sumate is such a cool and friendly guy who makes one feel at ease soon after checking-in. He provides maps and gives many pointers on how to explore Ayutthaya and the fastest way to get to Bangkok. We reach Bangkok in just 1 hour by bus, so much faster than the train!

Lovely Bungalow -

We stayed in a bungalow for 5 nights in November 2006. We paid 600THB a night. Definitely worth having A/C. As a couple we would have prefered a double bed, as the bungalows have 2 singles but it was fine. Very comfortable beds, clean sheets. The owner was very helpful and chilled out. He rents out bikes for 50THB per day which are great for visiting the wats. There is also a very nice restaurant just down the road. Beware the dogs packs in Auytthaya at night!!

Good new Bungalows -

As the previous review states, this place is now called Baan Suan. I stayed in the new bungalows in the garden which were clean and tastefully built with a nice seating area outside. The price is 600 Baht with aircon,tv and hot water in the attached bathroom. Not the cheapest place to stay but worth the money. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there is a small but busy bar on the premises. Give the place a try!

Liked it a lot -

It is now under new ownership, and renamed to Baan Suan Guesthouse. I stayed there in Feb 2006 (in a bungalow) and was very happy. The bungalow was clean and well maintained -- not always true in Thailand. Also, the owners were very very helpful to me when I had a minor medical problem.

Real nice -

It was in august 2002 when I was there. The English teacher, she was very friendly and see always organised some sightseeing tours with a tuk-tuk. In the large garden you could take your drinks from the frig. and write that down on a paper. In the evening we played the guitar in the garden or went for a huge cheap though good dinner at Tony's. The only thing what was less, was the bathroom, small but clean.

P.U. Guesthouse
20/1 Moo 4 off Naresuan Soi 1
The large, reasonably new P.U. offers good value and is often full, so book ahead. There is a small garden, common area and a large restaurant inside. The rooms... more
