Budget Guesthouse
Clean but not too budget

What we say:
Located just off Khao San Rd, down the alley beside the large and very popular traveller's centre at Khao San Centre bar and restaurant, the Budget Guesthouse is set in a large multi-storey concrete building, with basic, moderate sized rooms, all with shared facilities and if you get one at the rear, they're pretty quiet. By Khao San Road standards, this isn't too bad an option and attracts a steady trade, but it certainly isn't going to win any design awards. Probably the Budget Guesthouse's biggest asset is its location, spitting distance from Khao San. Jaded staff.

Not bad
After arriving in BK we stumbled into this place. Three of us wanted a room, and had to give our passports, they promised they'd put an extra matress in a double room for us. Although we didn't give our passports, no such mattress arrived. This was however irrelevant after parched lips touched my first ever Chang, and we decided to get a tuk-tuk to Soi Cowboy. The communal bathrooms were clean, as were the beds we did have. I can remember some noise from Khao San. Basically, if you want a quiet night in, don't stay here. If you want a shocking Changover, this will suffice.
