 Mom Guesthouse is one of the better of a slew of new places that opened up around Khao San over the last few years. While not overflowing with character, Mom Guesthouse is absolutely spotless inside, and the polished wooden floors and immaculate share bathrooms make this great value for budgeteers who don't want a musty room in an old wooden house. The staff are particularly friendly -- swinging it for many punters. If cleanliness is important to you, then this is a good, basic choice.

Cheap and good! - 2nd June, 2009
Very clean and not expensive. The staff is very friendly! We were 3 and they had only double rooms anymore. So the staff brought an extra bed into a double room with only a very small extra price per night. Thanks for that again!

clean, comfortable but hot - 9th November, 2008
The place was neat and clean. We got the room on the 3rd floor, in the middle. i felt that the room was a lil dim, needed more light in the place. The walls were thin ply wood, but surprisingly the place was queit mainly because its away from the main Khao San Rd. Bathrooms are clean. There wasnt a plug point, so we had to use the common one on the corridor. I personally felt the rooms were hot, cuz we took the room with a fan. Maybe its just the hot season

Clean and friendly staff!! - 19th January, 2008
I've seen a lot of guesthouses in Khao San and this GH is one of the cleanest guesthouses in this backpackers area. I made Bangkok my base when I went from Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam and I stayed at Mom every time I was there. I wouldn't mind renting a room there again. Plus they have friendly staff that can answer questions like which buses to take if you wanna go somewhere.

For travelers on budget - 1st July, 2007
Mom's guest house for me was the perfect guest house for any traveler on a budget. Staying in this guest house, allows you to be in the heart of the action down Khao san rd. The staff are friendly and the room have character. I would recommend this accommodation to any traveler on a budget looking for a convenient location in an around Khoa san rd.

Don't stay here! - 3rd May, 2007
This place was awful....we saw the reviews that were all good and so thoguht we wouldn't have any problems, boy were we wrong! There were clothes and dirty towels all over the lobby floor, stray smelly dogs walking around, the bathrooms stank of urine and other things and were so dirty I tried to refrain myself from using them at all. Just gross. The type of people that tend to stay there aren't so great either, there were people having sex in the toilet cubible, even thoguh they knew it was shared! Not worth going through, try the white lodge in Siam, lovely place.
