Set between Chakraphong Rd and the New Joe guesthouse, this latest member of the Four Sons chain is so new the spilled grout hasn't worn off the bathroom tiles yet. If you're looking for cleanliness rather than charm, then you could do a lot worse than here. Clean as it is, Four Sons Place isn't cheap and their windowless single rooms are particularly overpriced, but the better sized and priced doubles and triples are better value. Service was ok -- neither cheery nor corpse-like. Location is handy -- a very short walk to the airport bus and the main KSR madness.

* Travelfish researchers visit and review properties on an anonymous basis. By that we mean they show up, in person, and pretend to be either be a potential guest, or somebody looking for a room for a friend or relative. Where possible the researcher will inspect at least a couple of rooms. The rates you see above are what either the desk staff told us they were, or what were in the brochure when they just told us to quit bugging them and look in the brochure. clean but noisy - 3rd March, 2010
It has a good location but that also means it´s fairly noisy, so do try to book a room looking on to the alley instead of the road. The rooms are clean but small. Basic place but not a bad price. If you want something better you may try a flashier place and if you want something cheaper there are plenty of options in nearby Rambuttri Road.

Clean and Cheap - 19th February, 2010
The double room I stayed in was clean and comfortable enough for the price paid. Location is one of the best things about this place: close enough to Koh Sahn to make stumbling home easy and safe, and yet off the main drag enough to get a little bit of peace and quiet (don't kid yourself though, there's really no such thing in BKK). Also, there's a place to use the internet on the ground floor and good restaurants right outside the door. I'd definitely stay here again.
New Joe Guesthouse, just a few meters further down the alley, is also a great place to stay. Rooms are cheap and the bar/restaurant, that serves decent food and delicious pineapple shakes, is a great respite from the heat.
