Description
If you actually care about how the interior of your hotel is decorated then this is the place for you. While most guesthouses in Banglamphu emphasise plain walls, ordinary bedding, and generic toilet fixtures, the Bhiman seems to have taken the time to select decent accoutrements that they thought would look good. Oddly, while they are individually nice, including the bedding, which is far superior to the tattered blankets found elsewhere, the overall design is a hodgepodge of different styles. Regardless, it seems to work, the staff is friendly, there is a small swimming pool near the khlong, and breakfast is included. You could do far worse.

Boutique hotel with small pool - No rating given
By ding ( total comments: 8  More information please ) Stayed here 4/2006
Clean and well run. The pool is small but great - not much sun on it however. It has a klong along the back and a nice open feeling restaurant. 24 hour security.

New Siam II Guest House
50 Soi Trok Rongmai, Phra Athit Rd
Hotel-like accommodation at guesthouse prices makes New Siam II an outstanding choice. The swimming pool, with a 200B per day charge for non-guests, is a treat, while all rooms have electronic key cards and security boxes. The rooms themselves are immaculate and well decorated. This place, while... more

Mango Lagoon Place
30 Soi Rambutri, Banglamphu
Mango Lagoon opened in early 2004 and represents good value for the area. The five-storey building is more of a hotel than a guesthouse and has clean, but somewhat musty rooms, some of which have good views of the surrounds through large picture windows. Throw open the door and windows and a nice... more

New Siam Riverside
21 Phra Athit Rd, Banglamphu
Opened in early 2007 by the same owners of New Siam I and II, this friendly, family run hotel is the latest of their quality accommodations. The huge lobby that once housed a restaurant is being renovated into shops, a smaller restaurant, and a bar for the swimming pool that rests beside the river.... more

Erawan House
17/1-2 Soi Chanasongkhram
The only boutique style lodging in the area, this funky hotel has an atrium above the lobby, where an open stairway climbs past colourful globes of light to four stories of common areas and guestrooms. Each floor has some small tables and chairs for reading or socialising. The rooms are... more

New Siam III Guest House
7 Soi Rambutri, Bangkok
This tall, yellow structure towards the bend in soi Rambutri is one of the newest editions to the scene. Built late 2006 the rooms still look clean and new, which is always a bonus. Decoration includes carved wooden mirror frames and silk bed runners, which adds some charm, but for this price there... more
