Rainbow is a popular choice probably due to the good atmosphere in the Indian restaurant downstairs. It's well-located near the airport bus stop and pick ups for the islands and Chiang Mai, though the heavy traffic on Chakraphong Road makes it quite noisy. Rooms smell a bit funky and the bathrooms could use a scrubbing too.

Why is it soo good? 200B per night... 1. Good Large Fan (wall mounted not on the celing much better) 2. Clean Bed + Desk 3. Ensuite Bathroom with HOT Shower! 4. Very Cool 5. Quiet balcony on 3rd floor (go up the ladder) 6. Free safety locker 7. No Key deposit 8. Next door internet for as little as 15B per hour 9. 30 seconds from Airport bus stop 10. 30 seconds from Khao Sarn road 11. 30 seconds from park and short walk to grand palace and reclining budda 12. Easy access to Rambuttri road too (walk through temple next door)
