Bella Bella House

Bland but good location

Bella Bella doesn't have the most exciting rooms in town, but they are very clean and well looked after. The bathrooms are particularly spotless. There are five floors of rooms but no elevator, so opt for a lower floor if you are unfit, but take the higher floors if you want a breeze and a view of the temple rooftops at Wat Chana Songkhram across the way. All rooms are fitted with air-con which is available for slightly higher cost than if you opt only for fan. There is a medium-sized restaurant downstairs that is quite popular in the evening. This guesthouse does not accept Israeli or Thai guests.

Good Location, nothing special
The single room I stayed in was clean but small and the place generally felt a bit cramped.

Yes bland, but cheap and clean. - 17th January, 2006
Bella Bella House, is based on a lively Soi behind the temple near Khao San Road. The rooms are very basic, but clean and bright. Sttaff are friendly and efficient and the restaurant downstairs serves cheap basic food. The soi itself is quite lively with bars and vendors, but the guesthouse is on the quieter part of the street and the noise is not too loud at night -- we slept well. We recommend O Hungry! (turn left as you come out of Bella Bella House) they have a great menu and the food is good, very tasty for Bangkok. All in all a bit of a find considering the holes in the area.

Excellent Location - Clean - 20th October, 2009
Stayed in Bella Bella in the Banglamphu area of Bangkok - 5 mins walk to main street for backpackers. Friendly staff with internet access and little cafe attached. Had a double AC room for 500 Baht. What is great about this GH is the location - very near to local vendors selling street food ( delicious and v.cheap) , bars if you want it and lots of restaurants. Recommended.

rather just average - 24th July, 2009
as others mentioned, bella bella gh is fairly priced and clean and therefore good value. the location is wonderful, there are a few nice and cheap street restaurants across the street and a small 7/11 next door. if the staff would be a bit more ambitious, helpful or friendly would deserve my recommendation, but sadly the tend to be rather pissed of easily. the have a few computers downstairs and offer internet at rates of 30 thb for 1 hr and 50 thb for 2 hr. you can log out and come back within the next 7 days to use the rest of your account-time. but don't dare to ask for something special or sit at a computer for longer than 2 minutes (not kidding!) without being logged in!

clean; good value - 26th February, 2009
Nothing exciting about the place, but the double, air-con, private bathroom room we stayed in was quite clean and well maintained; it was much nicer than other places in the area with a comparable price. Location is also very good. Not too far from the action, but still relatively quiet.
