Dio Guesthouse

Bamboo wall alert!

The awfully thin walls guarantee sleepless nights at the rather lacklustre Dio Guesthouse. The main plus here is their popular soi-side restaurant and movie zone -- a good area for meeting fellow guests (though you'll probably already know each other due to the very thin walls). Otherwise, rooms are small but clean and there are storage lockers available for hire from the totally indifferent staff.

Dio Guesthouse reviews

Shagatronic - 6th February, 2004
I stayed here once - never again. You say bamboo walls - I kid you not, we were kept awake by a shagging couple two rooms down - TWO ROOMS DOWN. Never again.

Di-O Guest House is the best - 31st January, 2006
I live in Washington DC, USA, but I come to visit Thailand twice a year, every year. Every time I come to Thailand I always stay at Di-O Guest House. It is one of the best guesthouses around Khao San Road. Too bad it is hidden and not visible from the road. All the staff are extremely friendly and a single room is only US$4 a night. I recommend this place to all backpackers.
