Sawasdee Banglampu Inn
A Sawasdee chain hotel

What we say:
All rooms here have air-con, hot water and cable TV and are clean, and bright if a little stinky. The staff are quite friendly though and the prices reasonable, but pushing a bit high considering what else is out there. Yet another of the Sawasdee Chains, this one is on soi Tanao opposite the Reggae Bar, about a two-minute walk from Khao San Road.

Stay else where!
I just got back from Bangkok yesterday, 24th May 2005 and stayed at the Woraburi for 5 nights -- my advice is do not stay here ever... There were bed-bugs in every room. We tried changing rooms but that didn't help and only got worse. For those with big bags, forget it. No lifts. The staff were not helpful. There was a promotion at the time, but the staff not only didn't tell us about it, they tried to charge us a higher rate even! Once is enough -- I will never return. The only good thing is its location. That's all.

Thumbs up
I stayed here late November and it was good. Just off the action but still close enough. You don't think you'll use hot water, but it's really the only way to wash Bangkok off.
