Description
A brief walk south down Soi Ngam Dupli leads to the main entrance of Pinnacle Hotel & Spa. Passing through the leafy car park into the large, elegant lobby, it is obvious why this hotel fits snugly in the mid-range price bracket. Rooms are well furnished and decently sized, all with TV, fridge and hot water bathroom. A few extra baht buys decent views over Bangkok from the deluxe suites on the top few floors. If listening to piano music in the hotel's plush restaurant isn't your bag, Lumpini Park is within easy strolling distance. The staff at Pinnacle Lumpinee are polite and approachable, and welcome guests with the smiles and pleasantries that Thailand is famed for.

54 Soi Ngam Dupli, Bangkok
What can only be described as a block on the outside, the Malaysia hotel fails to increase its aesthetic appeal once through front doors. The lobby seems to have been decorated in two halves: the first by a guy with a discount card for the local Thai-style furniture shop, and the second by his... more

Penguin House
27/23 Soi Sri Bamphen, Bangkok
Under the same management and sharing the same name as the internet cafe just across the way, Penguin House offers a more upmarket set of rooms further down the Soi Sri Bamphen. Large, newly decorated rooms are available with simple but attractive furnishings. It's the little details such as Thai... more
