One of Bangkok's flashest hotels, this sumptuous retreat has a gorgeous low-rise setting with a lovely pool and spacious, impeccable rooms tasteful enough for an Australian prime minister. At these rates you'd expect nothing less. For tourists it's not a fabulous location, but with the recent subway opening a five-minute walk away, the rest of Bangkok is now well within reach. Be sure to check for internet rates. The weekend chocolate buffet is fabulous and you need not be a guest to lash out.
