Description
The sister branch of the Metropolitan hotel in London, The Met Bangkok has a surprisingly uninspiring exterior, but once the contemporary jazz and trip-hop tunes greet your ears in the towering atrium lobby, you will quickly appreciate this stylish urban getaway. For those in the know, the interior was designed by Singapore’s Kathryn Kng, the staff uniforms by Yohji Yamamoto, and rooms decorated with paintings by Natee Utarit. Rooms are sumptuous, elegant, and the service is flawless. The pool is huge, the fitness centre modern, and yoga classes are provided regularly. Cyan Mediterranean restaurant is popular with Thai’s and Expats and for the select few, membership at the Met Bar grants you access to rub shoulders with Bangkok’s hi-so crowd. Reservations strongly recommend.
