Description
For hotels of its standard and price range, the Pathumwan Princess is the best hotel in the Siam Square area. Although a short walk from Siam, it's connected straight into the shop-crazy zone of MBK and then to the BTS National Stadium station. In 2006, the hotel lobby was renovated to give an elegant, modern look. Some, but not all of the rooms have been renovated and are spacious with stunning views over the city. The Pathumwan Princess is also home to one of Bangkok's best gyms, the Olympic Club. The gym and large swimming pool on the eighth floor are both free for guests. The staff are very helpful and courteous, making it a welcoming choice that gets a lot of repeat customers. The Pathumwan Princess is particularly popular with individuals, families and tour groups. Watch out however for dodgy taxi and tuk tuk drivers along with other dubious characters who hang around outside. Recommended.
