Description
This Thai-Chinese style hotel faces onto Rama 1 Road but the main reception entrance is via Soi Kasem San 1. You can also get to reception via Rama 1. Walk through the restaurant to find the reception behind to the left. Pranee has standard basic rooms with aircon and private bathroom with hot water. The rooms are large and clean, if simple, and only the rooms facing Rama 1 Rd are particularly noisy. Request a room in the back if you are sensitive to noise. The friendly staff is sure to accommodate you.

So cheap for being next door to the MBK and skytrain. 450 bath for a doubleroom is a great price. The room was big and clean and friendly staff. We left our luggage there when we travveld to Chiang mai for only 10 bath per day and the staff is friendly. I will certainly stay there agian.

the rooms aren't exactly mint, and the aircon in some of them is definitely dodgy, but some of them are quite large. A definite asset is that they'll let you store luggage for no charge on the understanding that you come back to stay again at some point in the future. The restrauant out front is basic but adequate - it closes at about 9 pm though. The cheapest internet on this soi as well, though not by much.

If you are going to stay in Bangkok to enjoy the shopping, food and everything great about it and not so you can stay in a posh hotel ( believe me this is much better than staying in a posh hotel with a swimming pool and stuff)then this hotel is perfect. I have stayed in it many times with my parents and sister and the price is sensible , the people are nice and the food is excellent. The location is great as well - it's right infront of the wonderful shopping heaven MBK center and it's also next to a Seven Eleven. There are Thai people( Thai people are very hygenic and very clean. Even the people selling food on the pavement) selling delicious food and little treasurable items. It's the perfect hotel for a true traveller. I'd give it 10.

A-One Inn
25/13-15 Soi Kasem San 1, Rama 1 Rd, Bangkok
A-One gets lots of return custom and with good reason. The friendly staff creates a homely and welcoming atmosphere while the rooms are clean, although some are just off the lobby, and not particularly private. All have air-con and hot water. The rooms are small and nothing particularly special,... more

White Lodge
36/8 Soi Kasem San 1, Rama 4 Road
The small, cramped lobby nicely mimics the small, cramped rooms. The staff are friendly and approachable, but, aside from its cheapness, there is little to recommend White Lodge over any of the other guesthouses on Soi Kasem San. But even at the low prices, the rooms are well kept and spotlessly... more

The Bed and Breakfast
36/42-43 Soi Kasem Soi 1
The Bed and Breakfast is the last stop on Soi Kasem Soi 1. This place has a small, spotless restaurant on the ground floor and there is also a really tiny front porch where you can watch the occasional passing taxi or fruit cart. The staff here are helpful and the rooms bright and clean, although... more
