The Eugenia

Unique antique boutique hotel

What we say: 4.5 stars

Inside and out, the Eugenia hotel appears to be an exotic, antique mansion; this is only partially true. The owner, who designed and decorated the hotel, is a lifelong collector of antiques and the hotel is his creation, built to showcase and share his passion. Creaking, wooden floors are sporadically covered with the skins of exotic animals, from zebras to crocodiles, and the lounge bar, restaurant, and guestrooms are elaborately decorated with antiques collected by the owner from all corners of the world. The back garden houses a beautiful pool and lounge area. In this elegant environment, the service is designed to ensure guests have to worry about nothing; WiFi, domestic and international telephone calls, and mini bar access are all free, there are classic cars with drivers for getting chauffeured around the city (as well as their own tuk-tuk for trips to the BTS). The service is impeccable. If this is your price range, it's well worth choosing this unique boutique hotel over a generic chain hotel, although the location isn't ideal for easy walking access to Sukhumvit.
