Description
Inside and out, the Eugenia hotel appears to be an exotic, antique mansion; this is only partially true. The owner, who designed and decorated the hotel, is a lifelong collector of antiques and the hotel is his creation, built to showcase and share his passion. Creaking, wooden floors are sporadically covered with the skins of exotic animals, from zebras to crocodiles, and the lounge bar, restaurant, and guestrooms are elaborately decorated with antiques collected by the owner from all corners of the world. Besides the elegant environment the concept is no worries for the guests; wi-fi and mini bar are free, there are classic cars with drivers for getting chauffeured around the city (as well as their own tuk-tuk for trips to the BTS), and the service is impeccable. If this is your price range, it's well worth choosing this unique boutique hotel over a generic chain hotel, although the location isn't ideal for easy walking access to Sukhumvit.

Four Wings Hotel
40 Sukhumvit Soi 26, Bangkok
Popular with Japanese, the Four Wings is a fine choice with bright, spotless rooms, particularly friendly staff and some of the brightest elevators in Thailand. The rooms are pretty standard fare, though they're very clean and some on the higher floors have reasonable views. The hotel is a five to... more
Novotel Lotus, Bangkok
1 Soi Sukhumvit 33, Bangkok
This popular business hotel is placed within easy walking of Phrom Phong BTS, restaurants and bars, Emporium department store and a pleasant park. Staff are friendly and professional, if somewhat lacking in English skills, and though the rooms are fine the carpets are showing their age and the... more
The Imperial Queen's Park Hotel
199 Sukhumvit Soi 22
This massive 37-storey, two-tower hotel overlooks Benjasiri Park and Emporium. It's in an ideal location for both business travellers and shoppers, as it's near the BTS and Sukhumvit and Rama IV Roads. Arguably too big for many people's taste, the hotel is certainly rather maze-like. The views... more
