There's hostels and there's hostels and then there's Refill Now -- what is, without a doubt, one of the best-looking hostels we've seen in Southeast Asia -- and we've seen a lot of hostels. Located well off the tourist-circuit in the back-blocks of Sukhumvit Soi 71, you couldn't ask for a more authentically Thai location -- believe us you won't be jostling for footspace with other tourists in this part of town. The purpose-built four-storey building -- think loads of white and polished metal in a contemporary minimalist style -- boasts a bunch of immaculate dorms and private rooms (all with shared facilities) and when we say the facilities are immaculate we mean i m m a c u l a t e -- if you're a cleanliness nut, look no further than here. The accommodation sits atop of an equally stylish cafe and restaurant which backs onto a small, but refreshing swimming pool. The top floor is reserved for the inhouse massage service. Dorms are quite spacious and very well-maintained and come in both mixed and female-only flavours. The location is ideal for those looking for a comfortable night's sleep not far from Bangkok's new airport -- we'd say this is easily the best hostel near Bangkok's airport. While Refill Now may seem like a world away from Bangkok's delights, it's only a walk to the khlong, from where you can catch a canal boat into the heart of the city, and it's within tuk tuk range of the BTS Skytrain which brings much of Bangkok within reach. Price wise, Refill Now will set you back more than the average Bangkok hostel, but this isn't your average Bangkok hostel. Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Very highly recommended.

Four Star Hostel - 19th February, 2010
I'd never been to a hostel with a consierge before! Refill Now! has a great, english-speaking staff that is seriously set on meeting your needs. The dorms are just like army barracks, if army barracks were designed by Vera Wang. Big lockers, extra clean shared facilities, great showers with rain forest-style shower heads (towel included), and comfy bunks with a shelf and reading lights. The stylish and comfy common areas are a great place to relax with friends or make new ones. Staying at Refill Now! definitely costs more than other spots in the city, but you get solid value for your money. The location is actually much better than I initially thought too, as it is close to both the sky train and the canal boats for trips into the city. Plus, the surrounding authentic Thai neighborhood is fun to explore on foot, and the shorter, cheaper taxi ride to the airport (under 200 baht) is a real bonus. I would particularly recommend this place for people who need a day room (shower, place to hang out, take a nap, store your stuff and maybe even go for a swim) before heading to the airport to catch a late flight. As an FYI, SCAD (Soi Cats and Dogs) is just around the corner.
