Description
By Soi Nana standards, the Nana City Inn is one of the better options, though that isn't really saying all that much. It caters mainly catering to those who plan on spending a lot of time in the bars that litter the Nana area. The rooms are clean but cave-like and smell like your grandparents house (or perhaps a menthol-mothball factory), and the bathrooms are cramped and a bit musty. The staff are friendly and can arrange transport to Pattaya, Hua Hin and other destinations. This place gets a lots of repeat customers, though watch out for crusty westerners sleeping in the stairwell -- enough said.

PS Guest House
26/1 Sukhumvit 8, Bangkok
PS's new wing has lovely spacious rooms with wooden floors and large bathrooms, while the old wing features carpeted rooms with small kitchens, making them perfect for self-catering travellers. Rooms are quiet, which is to be expected on this relatively low traffic soi, and have windows that open... more

Top Inn
Near Soi 4, 128 Sukhumvit Rd, Bangkok
This small hotel atop a travel agent of the same name has a dozen clean and well-looked after mid-sized rooms that were renovated in 2005. The location is excellent - directly on Sukhumvit Road and a five-minute walk from Nana BTS. Be sure to get a room at the rear to escape the traffic noise. The... more

Ruamchitt Travelodge
11/1 Sukhumvit Soi 10, Bangkok
Located a few hundred metres down Soi 10 on the left, Ruamchitt has clean but basic rooms with no carpet -- which means no smells. Wide windows let in lots of light. All rooms have TV, fridge and air-con. A business centre and coffee shop are near the lobby and a little swimming pool sits out... more

Stable Lodge
39 Sukhumvit Rd, Soi 8
The Stable Lodge has large and reasonably tasteful rooms with wooden floors and large balconies. All rooms have cable TV, clunky air-con units and hot water bathrooms. Rooms are mostly bright, airy and quiet, though they're starting to really show their age. The Stable also has a swimming pool and... more

Pinnacle Sukhumvit Inn
6/13-16 Sukhumvit Soi 3/1, Bangkok
Pretty much the only advantage of staying at the Pinnacle Inn is the excellent selection of Middle Eastern eateries nearby. Even at these pretty low rates, the rooms seem overpriced, and are very average fare. Nevertheless the Pinnacle remains one of the cheapest places in this part of Sukhumvit... more

Sam's Lodge
28-28/1 Sukhumvit Soi 19 (Soi Wattana)
Almost everything about Sam's Lodge is small: the rooms, the hallways, the lobby, and the elevator are all claustrophobia inducing. Luckily, the price is small as well and the roof terrace on the 6th floor provides some open space if needed. Some of the rooms have windows, while others do not, so... more
