Description
A good mid-range hotel, Manhattan offers amenities business travellers and mid-range tourists expect, including a swimming pool and fitness centre. While the rooms are better than what you'd expect for the price, a 2007 price increases have made the hotel less value than what it once was. Nonetheless, for those who want to be near the BTS and Sukhumvit shopping and dining but want a quieter atmosphere, the rooms here are quite peaceful as this soi is less busy than many others in the area.

Good deal -
By kamaaina ( total comments: 1  More information please ) Stayed here 6/2007
I stayed there in 2005 and again in June 2007. It's still a great value. Rooms have a wall safe and refrigerator. The buffet breakfast is adequate. But it's LOCATION is tops; just a 5 minute walk to the Asok BTS and subway station. Directly across the street on Soi 12 is the popular 'Cabbages and Condoms' restaurant.

Grand Business Inn
2/4, 2/11 Sukumvit Soi 11 (Soi Chaiyot)
Renovated and re-branded in 2006, the Grand Business Inn is the best mid-range choice in the area. The price is reasonable for the spacious and tastefully decorated rooms. Splurging for a suite is better deal than getting a standard room for similar price at one of the nearby chain hotels as they... more

Bel-Aire Princess
16 Sukhumvit Soi 5
Located towards the end of Soi 5, the Bel-Aire is a top choice for its price range. Immaculate, comfortable rooms with contemporary decoration and a stylish foyer, with chic lobby bar, are matched by professional and very courteous staff, making it a hit with both business travellers and families.... more

City Lodge
Sukhumvit Soi 9, Bangkok
No longer considered a bargain deal, this boutique hotel brand owned by the luxury hotel chain Amari is still a reasonable choice at either of the convenient locations of Sukumvit Soi 9 (Nana BTS) or Sukumvit Soi 19 (Asok BTS). Service is prompt and helpful. Often full in season when the rates are... more

Swiss Park Hotel
155/23 Sukhumvit Soi 11, Bangkok
The Swiss Park is conveniently located in the centre of the Sukhumvit area, and when you consider you're paying for the location rather than the rooms, its motel-like rooms represent reasonable value, being spotless though rather small. Be warned that the immediate surrounds of the hotel are... more

City Lodge
Sukhumvit Soi 19, Bangkok
City Lodge is in a great location, just a one-minute walk from Asok BTS and five-minutes to the subway, but the rooms are average 3 star hotel fare: generic contemporary decoration, comfortable beds with decent bedding and clean, bright bathrooms. It's not a great location for families, but if... more

Royal Benja Hotel
39 Sukhumvit Soi 5, Bangkok
A tour group favourite, this buzzing hotel is pretty worn but has some of the cheeriest staff in town. The rooms are a little on the small side and certainly not extravagantly designed or decorated, but the ones on the higher floors have terrific views over Bangkok. The pool is passable but not... more

Grand President Executive Serviced Apartments
14,16 Sukhumvit Soi 11, Bangkok
Located about half way down soi 11, the Grand President occupies three towers on either side of the soi. Tower 2 is the most recently renovated and houses elegant suites with wooden bookshelves, writing desks, washer/driers, and large kitchenettes. Rooms in tower two have marble floors, stereos,... more

Majestic Suites
110-110/1 Sukhumvit Rd (between Soi 4-6), Bangkok
The Majestic Suites is on Sukhumvit Road around the corner from Soi Nana. The rooms, although on the small side, are well decorated, clean, and comfortable and come with bathrooms with tubs. These qualities result in a mixture of clientele, some of whom are there for the seedy location, others for... more

Woraburi Sukhumvit
128/1 Sukhumvit Soi 4, Bangkok
Woraburi is a hotel from the Sawasdee chain, found throughout Bangkok, particularly around the Khao San area. This one is located at the end of Nana (soi 4), and owing to the neighbourhood, draws a somewhat sleazy clientele, although many everyday tourists also discover this fairly pleasant hotel.... more
