Baan Kupu
Comfy cottages in a garden

What we say:
Named after its teacher co-owner (Kruu or 'ku' in this case means 'teacher' in Thai), Baan Kupu is located just east of ChababaanCham Resort on the same side of the canal. Fifteen spacious concrete cottages lack the character of other options, but they're unique in that each are spaced apart in a lovely garden set back from the canal. They're plenty comfortable too; each come with large windows, white tile floors, firm beds with clean cotton sheets, fridges, air-con, WiFi, TVs, basic hot water bathrooms and front porches with chairs. Each cottage is freestanding, making this probably Amphawa's best option for light sleepers or anyone who doesn't feel like being up at the crack of dawn. Rates include breakfast, and a spacious open-air seafood restaurant hosts live music beside the canal in the evenings.
