Though it takes its name from the famed nearby bridge, this small resort isn't a tacky motel meant to house tourists -- it's an attractive spot offering stylish accommodation. White bungalows are spaced throughout a lush tropical garden, and though they're packed close together, they get more than enough privacy thanks to the many trees and tropical plants. The resort's location off a quiet stretch of Maenam Kwai just south of the bridge lends a sense of seclusion. Rooms are spacious, clean and chic, with large comfy beds, amber or flush white tile floors, dark wood furniture, tasteful polished concrete bathrooms and private decks. They're also equipped with air-con, flatscreen TVs, fridges and free WiFi. A large swimming pool is tucked away from a sophisticated restaurant and bar. Rates include breakfast -- and for comfort and style at this level, offer great value. Recommended.
