Ponnatee Resort
A maze of a mansion

What we say:
The rooms at Ponnatee are stacked in a tall house set right over the lake. Though the open hallways and wooden decks of the house are pleasantly atmospheric, they're a little maze-like and confusing. Rooms are large, comfortable, and invitingly decorated, with lots of dark wood and Thai textiles. Standard rooms open onto a walkway, and can get a little dark, while superiors open onto a private deck with chairs for lounging. Several outdoor communal lounges mean you'll never be at a loss for room to unwind.

good points vs bad points
We had to sadly move here from P Guesthouse, although the location is great and the views are good, the rooms are overpriced (2000bht for a 'superior' room which was anything but superior) and possibly the least attractive in all our thai travels. Nevertheless, a comfortable bed (not to common in thailand)and an amazing bbq dinner experience but ask the staff for some guidance on what its all about...
