S.P. Guesthouse
Family-run guesthouse near the border

What we say:
A half kilometre from the border on the eastbound side of Route 3 if heading towards Aranyaprathet town, S.P. is a fine place to rest your head if wanting to make an early morning border run. Rooms are set back from the road in a newer concrete building with mint green and pink walls and shiny tile floors, and all come with air-con, fridge, TV, free WiFi and plenty of space. The normal rooms are fine for single travellers or couples while larger ones can sleep up to four. A woman who speaks little English but does her best to accommodate runs the guesthouse, and we appreciated this place particularly because -- unlike other nearby guesthouses -- she doesn't try to pressure customers into some sort of special visa preparation or transport. If not wanting to be bothered (but also not wanting breakfast in the morning), S.P. is a solid choice.
