What we say:

One of a string of small budget spots offering 500 baht bungalows across the road from the bigger and pricier beachfront resorts, Baan Nam is run by a friendly Swedish-Thai couple whose hospitality puts them slightly above other similar options. Rooms are set in relatively new Thai-style cottages (two attached rooms to one building) and come with air-con, simple hot water bathrooms and TVs. Beds are a little hard and the rooms aren't huge, but they are well kept and cheery, and the spacious front porches with tables make pleasant spots for enjoying a beer. The beach is just a three-minute walk from here and several restaurants are close by. If Baan Nam is full, any of four neighbouring small resorts offer similar accommodation for the same price.
