The Sez Hotel
New, boutique, funky

What we say:
The Sez Hotel really stands out among Bang Saen's offerings. It is ultra modern, over-designed and very 'cool'. The exterior will remind you of a 1970s TV set, thanks to its bright colours and art nouveau design. The lobby area has refreshing marble and water features. Staff are very helpful and speak English. The rooms come with everything you would expect -- TV, fridge and hot water -- and are stylish as well as functional. A restaurant at the front of the hotel serves Thai/Western fusion food, but can be pricey. This hotel, catering to young bright Bangkokians trying to escape the City of Angels for a few days, has prices to match what they can afford.

Worthed the Splurge
Indeed funky, but i would say more than boutique and an extensive choice of breakfast is included in the rates (weekday :1800,2000,2500,5000 for weekends add 200-500). Strangely Travelfish doesn't mention the Bird Hotel (038.748444-5 www.bird-hotelbangsaen.com), nextdoor and just before Nuan's Corner, a bit cheaper (790,890,1290,1390 +200 for high season, buffet breakfast included, cheapest rooms have no window). But for these rates why not splurge on a night at The Sez, definitely worthed a try.
