Charlie's Bungalows

Best on the island

No pic at the moment -- Sorry!

What we say: 4.5 stars

If Ko Si Chang gave an award for the most spankin' clean guesthouse, Charlie's would win, no contest. The 14 bungalows are pristine and airy, with sunlight streaming through the windows and tasteful maritime-theme decor. The beds are large (some say hard), the LCD TVs are small, and the furnishings are kept to a minimum. Each air-con bungalow is equipped with a coffee- and tea-maker, as well as a mini-fridge stocked with water free of charge. Staff at Charlie's take pride in their guesthouse, and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable – you can even rent a DVD player and DVDs for entertainment. Bungalows 8, 9, 10, and 11 have the best vantage point of the island, though all bungalows are havens of tranquillity. With options of a double or two single beds, the bungalows are nestled within trees and open up onto the patio, a perfect spot for you to make use of the free and fast WiFi and to enjoy a cup of coffee. Charlie's is in close proximity to the beach and the centre of town, and manage most of the motorbike and bicycle rentals for the island, making pick-up and drop-off especially convenient. Because of their stellar reputation, getting a room on a weekend may prove to be difficult, so make sure to contact them ahead of time.
